The Como Main Street Alliance
Everybody loves Como, Mississippi’s Coolest Small Town.
With a Main Street nearly unchanged for over a century, this historic walkable town boasts a rare vibrant charm. Church bells mix with the sounds of a passing train while neighbors walk dogs or visit on porches.
Known for the Hill Country Blues, Como’s history pages are filled with the talents of Otha Turner, Fred McDowell and many other musicians working today to carry forward the traditions. Along with the renowned Como Steakhouse, the town’s growing Restaurant Row is home to locally-owned restaurants where visitors can enjoy everything from signature pizzas to authentic Thai food. Combined with live music and three event halls, Como comes alive at night.
Founded in 2012, the Como Main Street Alliance (CMSA) is dedicated to the preservation of the town’s heritage, architecture and culture. Serving the entire Como community, CMSA is a Network Member of the Mississippi Main Street Association. Members include citizens, businesses and Como ex pats dedicated to the promotion, economic development and future design of this unique place.
